Don’t get me wrong, I’m very proud of my candles but shit P, you need to calm down my love!

Less than 10 minutes later we were asked up to the 4th floor, shown a cubicle and I was asked to get undressed and put on a gown. Then P arrived, big hugs and smiles all round, “my dear we have 2 beautiful AA grade embryos, 5 day blastocysts waiting for you next door…… Are you ready?” Yes! our gorgeous donor had come up trumps. We were indeed ready. Matt and I walked into the theatre and I assumed the position, no time for nerves now. 3mm from last time…. It’s was, it was a whopping 10.3. That’ll do, what embryo could resist snuggling into that little beauty! Once the catheter was in, the side room door opened and out popped P’s husband, with the precious load inserted in another catheter and there they were, within a flash, two perfect embryos inside me. “these sort of embryos make babies” he declared and in a blink of an eye he was gone again.

I was wheeled back into our cubicle and there we stayed for an hour whilst another intralipid was intravenously administered (slightly easier than with my GP 10 days ago and far less sweat and bumping of heads) but at least I had to stay put this time, http://hookupdate.net/single-muslim-review/ rather than give it 10 minutes and hurriedly get dressed and go, which is what I did on our last transfer. P came in to see us, affectionately squeezed my toes and rubbed my tummy, “make this a positive for me Rebecca”, she then gazed lovingly at Matt and declared her adoration for him yet again, sickening!! ?

P then talked us through the all too familiar procedure

She told us that our donor had produced 4 good eggs, all of which had been made into embryos, the second 2 were grade B, so not as amazing as our first 2 but good enough to stay on ice, should we decide to have a sibling, or should this not work (God forbid) another go.

All I wanted to know was how thick my lining was and was it thicker than 8

Whether this works or not, I will never forget what she put herself through to give us the chance of our own baby.

When I did my last IVF apart from the delightful rectal suppositories, all drugs and injections came to an end, so I assumed the same would happen here. WRONG! Oh so so wrong, I have even more to take, Yay! and as well as continuing with the injections in my stomach, I now have the joy of 2 in my bum, which I can’t reach, yes, I know! Don’t think it didn’t occur to me as to what I was to do with Matt being in Rome. So tomorrow I have a good friend, who will become a closer friend after tomorrow I feel, to do the deed and the following day my Mum-in-law has the pleasure also, then the honour goes to Matt, King jabber on Thursday.

We collected our airport letter from reception, we paid our bill and all that was left was to say thank you to P. We knew how busy she was but asked if we could just pop into her office as we had a little something for her.

We thanked her from the bottom of our hearts and I passed her a box of four Miss Golightly candles, oh my goodness you’d of thought we’d given her a diamond bracelet….. (it turns out she used to make candles too but no longer has the time). We then passed over our gift for our donor, she was genuinely shocked and touched (surely most people take a gift don’t they? Obviously not). She told us our donor was 21 years old, with two children of her own (yeah I know, what a girl!) P has known her since she was 18 and apparently she is just lovely, she is a proven donor and clearly one of the most generous 21year olds around! That is all the information I needed, our work here was done, now we are in the hands of a higher being.
